One-Michelin-Star British Cuisine: The ClockTower(1)

📍5 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10010 Average cost per person: $100 ➡️ Breadbasket: The breadbasket was the first pleasant surprise. The bread looked substantial but was actually crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Compared to the chewy bread I've had at some French restaurants in the past, this bread was much more to my liking. 🥪 ➡️ Scotch Egg: The best appetizer of the night. The fried meatball encases a soft-boiled quail egg, and it's bursting with flavor. The meatball is perfectly seasoned, not too salty or greasy, with a firm texture. It's delicious on its own and also pairs well with walnut ketchup. 🥣 ➡️ Seared Diver Scallops: The scallops were incredibly soft and tender, and their quality was top-notch. It's no exaggeration to say that their freshness immediately explodes in your mouth. However, a friend I was dining with thought the accompanying sauce was a bit salty. 🦪 ➡️ Crab Cocktail Tart: This appetizer caught my attention with its name and was the only cold dish on our table today. The first taste was of perfectly seasoned pomelo, followed by generous crab meat shreds, paired with avocado and other sauces. Overall, it's a refreshing and distinctive dish. 🦀 #NewYork 🌟
