One of the Most Recommended Sichuan Restaurants in New York 😍
Located on the East Village's foodie street, the best Sichuan restaurant from NJ has made its way to New York! Initially, following the navigation led me to De'zhuang Hot Pot, but it turns out that the entire building houses the same restaurant group. 🍽️ Chef Tan East Village - Shuxiang Mendele 📍 Address: 37 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10003 💰 Average Cost: $30 🥄 🌶️ Spicy Chicken: A chef-recommended dish with incredibly tender meat. The chicken is perfectly fried, salty, and crispy. It's delicious, delicious, delicious! 🌟 🐟 Sichuan Peppercorn Poached Fish: A huge bowl filled with fish, cabbage, and bean sprouts. It's not overly spicy, but the numbing sensation builds up as you eat more. Hahaha! 🥟 Chicken Soup Wontons: The wontons are average, feeling like they were pre-made, frozen, and then boiled. The chicken soup is very fragrant but quite salty. The service is amazing! It's rare to find a Chinese restaurant that doesn't use a lot of starch for thickening. Compared to most Chinese restaurants, this one offers large portions and quite authentic flavors, though I personally found them a bit on the salty side. #NewYorkFood #NYCRestaurantAdventures 🌇🌟
