Oregon's summer is truly legendary! πΊοΈ
Mount Hood & Mount Adams, every snapshot is a cinematic scene. πΈ π Lost Lake lives up to its reputation; it's a sight to behold (see photo 2). The winding mountain road to get there is challenging and far, but as you drive, you realize why it's called Lost Lakeβit's incredibly apt. Once you reach the viewpoint, it's just one word: worth it! πͺ Even if it means driving an extra half hour, it's worth the effort. Personally, I think it's even more beautiful than the more famous Trillium Lake. πΈ π I visited two lavender farms: Hood River Lavender Farm and Hope Ranch Lavender. β¨ If you're looking to capture lavender fields with snow-capped mountains, I highly recommend Hope Ranch. Both snow-capped mountains are almost entirely unobstructed, and because it's less well-known than Hood River Lavender Farm, there are fewer visitors, the lavender is a richer purple, making for stunning photos. The farm owner is also very patient and doesn't charge for photos alone; they charge $10 per bundle for picking. π° ποΈ Hood River is more crowded, larger, and offers more activities. You can eat ice cream (which isn't very tasty...), but I think there's too much obstruction for taking pictures of the lavender fields with snow-capped mountains, and the crowd means that the blooming lavender gets picked quickly by visitors, making the overall appearance of the lavender field not as vibrant as at Hope Ranch. π #north America #Oregon
