Orlando | Lost in the Lotus Blossoms
Orlando, there's more than just theme parks to explore! š¢ Beyond Disney and Universal Studios, Orlando's wildlife is worth checking out too! š¦š¢š¦©š š Silver Springs State Park The best spot to see manatees! š¦ December is peak season for manatees, and this park allows you to kayak on the lake to spot them. There are various types of boats available, but the clear kayaks are the most visually appealing. Many people rent from Get Up And Go Kayaking - Silver Springs, but they require a guide. For more flexibility and freedom, I recommend Sassy's Silver Springs Clear Kayaking. š The kayaking route is circular. At the starting point, you might see monkeys in the trees. Along the circular route, there are two concave areas where manatees are most abundant. The duration of your paddle is up to you; taking it slow for over an hour is not tiring at all. Though the weather was overcast, the water was still crystal clear, with the deepest parts resembling the blue of Jiuzhaigou. The transparent kayak bottoms allow you to see the blue fish swimming below. The surrounding tropical plants give a Wizard of Oz vibe, and in the evening, I leisurely paddled into a lotus pond. The experience was fantastic and highly recommended. š Gatorland A quick mention of Gatorland and its alligators and other animals. š You'll see so many alligators that they'll fill your dreams at night. You can get up close and personal with the alligators for photos. The park also offers ziplining and other entertainment, but the most charming part is definitely the ever-chattering capybaras. š¹ #LostInLotusBlossoms #OrlandoTravel #Kayaking #CherishEveryEvening #TravelBits
