Orlando πΊπΈ Kelly Park Weekend Adventure to See Baby Alligators
On weekends, head northwest of Orlando to King's Landing near Kelly Park β a hidden gem for a fun outing! We took an Uber from our Orlando hotel, about a 40-minute ride. Booking in advance made the round trip a breeze.π π Kelly Park Natural River : Perfect for a relaxed time. If you're into tubing, bring your own floaties for a leisurely swim. The one-way trip takes about half an hour. You'll see little fish and turtles, but no alligators here. π₯Silver Springs : A self-guided kayak adventure. You can't swim, but the natural scenery and wildlife viewing are amazing. Spot various water birds, big turtles, and get up close to alligators. π₯ Ginnie Spring : My top pick! Great for photos, swimming, snorkeling, and seeing fish and turtles. The water is so clear, you don't even need filters for perfect shots! π₯Rainbow River : A simpler version of Silver Springs. You can swim, but there's a current except at the headspring. We tried the clear kayaks . They look amazing and take great photos, but paddling can be tough, especially against the current. It's worth it for the perfect shots! Besides clear kayaks, you can rent regular boats or try paddleboards. I recommend booking an 8 AM or 11 AM tour for fewer people and clearer water. We headed back at 9:30 AM and hit traffic. Arrive 15 minutes early, as the guides leave on time! On weekends, get there early to avoid lines. We made it at 1 PM, but it was crowded. The trip lasts about two and a half hours. It used to be three, but a no-go zone near a bridge upstream shortened it. Still, the experience is great. You'll see turtles, birds, and from November, maybe manatees and alligators. π Booking Tips : If you book with Get Up & Go, follow the directions carefully. Kayaking starts at King's Landing, not Kelly Park. Keep going past Kelly Park. #OrlandoTravel #KellyPark #TropicalRainforestKayaking #RockSpring #OrlandoKayaking #FloridaTravelTips #Kayak #USATravel #OrlandoWeekend #Kayaking
