Orlando Hollywood Studios 🌟

Today marks the start of my Disney adventure, beginning with Hollywood Studios! 🎬 When I visited in 2018, I missed this park due to time constraints, so today made up for that 7-year-old regret 😊. My overall impression: this park is very family-friendly and great for kids, especially Star Wars fans – several rides and experiences are themed around the galaxy far, far away! A quick note on the official Disney app: It’s quite handy! After purchasing Lightning Lane (LL), you can scan in at the ride entrance and immediately book your next experience – so we barely waited in lines all day 🎢. However, there’s one catch: if you’re accessing the app from outside the US or Canada, purchasing tickets or LL can be tricky. When I was in Beijing, I kept getting account errors and couldn’t buy LL. That’s why I scheduled Universal Studios first – it gave me time to sort out my Disney LL after arriving in the U.S. ✅. I’m staying at Disney’s Swan Reserve this week 🏨. The hotel offers Early Entry and free shuttles, which is super convenient. Guests can also book LL 7 days in advance – though, as mentioned, it’s harder to do from abroad. I ended up booking about 5 days ahead and managed to get almost all the popular rides 🎪, though some time slots weren’t ideal. For example, all my LL bookings for tomorrow are in the afternoon… and with the typical afternoon thunderstorms here, I’m a bit worried about weather delays 🌧️. On the bright side – my room was upgraded, and I got free breakfast! 🍳 My view faces the Swan and Dolphin hotels across the street, and last night I could even see part of the Hollywood Studios fireworks (though partly blocked by the Swan 😅). I spent about 7 hours in the park today. It rained around 3 PM, but I had an umbrella ☂️. Once the rain lightened up, I hopped on the ferry back to the hotel 🚤.
