Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts Reopening 🌸🍃
Highlights of Chinese Artifacts 🌿 The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts has reopened with a special exhibition titled "What’s New! 🌸🍃 Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts—A Grand Display of Masterpieces and Treasures!!" In addition to the "stunning" Buddhist sculptures mentioned in the previous post, the other Chinese artifacts on display are also quite impressive, even outshining the Japanese pieces in comparison. 🌇 🌸🍃 Highlights of the Chinese artifacts include: 1️⃣ A Han Dynasty bronze figure with gold and silver plating, chosen as the promotional ambassador for the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts. 🌿 🌸🍃 2️⃣ A bronze owl-shaped water dropper from the late Eastern Han to the Six Dynasties period, with an endearingly quirky appearance. 🌿 3️⃣ A Song Dynasty iron octagonal kettle, remarkable for its well-preserved condition. 🌿 4️⃣ A Tang Dynasty bronze mirror with a design featuring two mythical beasts and phoenixes among floral patterns. 🌿 🌸🍃 5️⃣ A bronze belt hook with inlaid gold and silver depicting a strange bird catching fish, from the Three Kingdoms (Wu) to the Western Jin period. 🌿 6️⃣ A Tang Dynasty gold and silver-plated hairpin with pierced peony and mandarin duck patterns. 🌿 #Kyoto 🌿
