🎪 Osaka Family Travel Guide
There's so much to enjoy in Kobe that it made for a tough choice for family-friendly activities: • Experience exotic cultures at Kita Foreign Settlement; • Soak in the ancient Arima Onsen, one of the three famous hot springs in Japan; • Interact up close with small animals at Kobe Animal Kingdom; • Visit the fairy-tale-like Mount Rokko Ranch; • Discover the green apple by Tadao Ando at Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art; • Overlook Kobe from one of Japan's three great night views, Mount Maya; • Enjoy a leisurely day by the sea breeze at Meriken Park, shopping and eating to your heart's content. The family travel route I chose this time: Osaka → Kobe Kingdom Zoo → Bread Museum → Mosaic Plaza → Meriken Park. 🚉 Transportation From Osaka, you can reach Kobe Sannomiya Station by Hanshin Train, Hankyu Train, or JR! ❗️The Sannomiya Stations on different lines are not the same, so be sure to take a limited express train, which will get you there in just half an hour, instead of local trains that stop at every station! You can buy a one-day pass from Kintetsu for a better deal. However, you have to pick up the ticket at Umeda, and to save time, it might be better to skip the discount. Using a Suica card is convenient and quick. Children under 12 also get half price~ 🦘 Kobe Animal Kingdom A semi-open zoo where you can touch capybaras. Most of the animals are in a free-roaming state, allowing for close contact! The distance with the animals is really close, and there are interaction or petting times with different animals almost every hour. The park is not large but well-organized, with areas for Asian, African, nocturnal animals, and waterfowl, housing over 100 species of animals and plants that you don't often see. The cute kids' meals in the zoo are reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a full day of play without worries. 🍞 Bread Museum The first Bread-themed park in the Kansai region, spanning three floors and about 5600 square meters. The playground area is suitable for preschool children. The surrounding shops and restaurants are highly recommended for both kids and adults to explore, and there's freshly baked bread in the shape of Bread, which is just too cute. 🎡 Mosaic Plaza This is just a 5-minute walk from the Bread Museum, very close to the sea. Be sure to capture the Meriken Hotel in the background when taking photos! You can check in two landmarks at once and take a ride on the Mosaic Ferris wheel~ 🏖️ Meriken Park A seaside park, the famous "be kobe" landmark is there, and if the weather is good, watching the sunset by the sea must be beautiful. A full day packed with fun, but not enough time to enjoy everything. Next time, plan to stay overnight~ #UnforgettableLandmarks #StartTheNewYearWithATrip #ZooAnimals #WonderfulAnimals #FunOuting #Osaka #FamilyFun #FamilyTravelAdventure!
