Paris: Chez Gabrielle - Google Rating 4.7

Reservations are a must; walk-ins are purely a matter of luck. I noticed that as the restaurant opened, it quickly filled up with guests who had booked in advance. If you happen to be ending your day near the Arc de Triomphe, consider making a reservation for dinner here. This isn't a bistro; the prices are a bit higher, averaging around 70 euros (starter, main course, dessert, and we also ordered wine). We basically ordered the starred recommendations on the menu, and none of them disappointed. đŸ”č Starter Recommendation: Pan-fried foie gras. Two large pieces. Some foie gras can feel a bit greasy as you eat more, but this one didn't at all—another basket of baguettes gone, haha. I also ordered pumpkin soup, which had a few slices of Iberian spicy sausage. The combination with the creamy flavor was very rich in texture. đŸ”č Main Course: We also went for the restaurant's starred recommendations. The pan-fried steak with creamy sauce was excellent, served with a small bucket (literally a bucket) of baked potatoes. I ordered the steak medium-rare, and the cooking was perfect—beautiful Maillard crust on the outside, and incredibly tender on the inside! The bucket of baked potatoes was also delicious. The other dish was scallops with mushroom cream sauce; the scallops were large, bouncy, and fresh, but I thought the steak was even better. đŸ”č Dessert: We had the molten hot chestnut cake with vanilla ice cream. The highest praise for desserts from a Chinese perspective is that they're delicious but not overly sweet—haha. Both restaurants offer English and French menus, with delicious food and friendly service. #ParisianRestaurant #RepeatVisits
