Paris's Most Difficult-to-Book Restaurant: Septime 🌟

Ranked 11th globally in 2024 as a Michelin one-star restaurant, I had always heard while living in Paris that this place was particularly hard to book. πŸ“ž Ten years on, it remains just as elusive, with dinner reservations virtually impossible to secure. πŸŒƒ I managed to snag a lunch reservation, which are also gone in a flash, within a minute. β±οΈπŸ’¨ The lunch menu consists of 5 courses plus two amuse-bouches, with the option to pair with wines, all of which are natural wines. 🍷πŸ₯‚ Having only tried the lunch, I can't speak to whether the dinner menu is significantly more impressive than the lunch, which I found to be just average in taste, especially considering the multitude of excellent restaurants in Paris. 🍽️ The first amuse-bouche and the second course were as salty as if a salt shaker had been overturned, πŸ§‚ which was surprising given the chef's resume, which doesn't seem to indicate any Nordic influence. I wonder where this preference comes from. πŸ€” If I can book a dinner reservation in the future, I might give it another try, but I likely won't return for lunch. πŸŒ›πŸ΄ #FrenchCuisine #MichelinRestaurantExploration #ParisGourmet
