Paris | 13.9€ Tastes Like Michelin Satisfaction 🌟

On our last night in Paris, we had a reservation at a one-Michelin-star restaurant 🍴, but it was ruined because my partner had been suffering from diarrhea for several days. We wandered around the hotel and spotted a sign outside this restaurant 🏨. To our surprise, for just 13.9€, we could get three courses! The meal included an appetizer, a main course, and rice. My partner and I agreed to give it a try 👫. 🥣For the appetizer, we chose the Gratinée Onion Soup (Soupe à l‘oignon gratinée). It had been a while since we had a refreshing soup, and our expectations were high. Unfortunately, the first sip was too salty... Even dipping the provided baguette didn't help much. After a few bites of the moist crusty bread, we couldn't finish it. 🍛For the main course, we opted for the Burgundy Beef Stew (Bœuf Bourguignon). Perhaps it was because we hadn't had a good meal for several days, but this beef stew over rice brought tears to our eyes. The beef was tender, flavorful, and melted in our mouths. Each bite of rice coated with the sauce and a piece of beef was an incredibly satisfying experience. 🥧For dessert, we selected the Caramel Custard (Crème Brûlée). Before ordering, we asked the waiter if it would be too sweet. He assured us that it was his favorite and not overly sweet. Upon tasting, it was indeed not too sweet and had a rich, creamy flavor. The thin, crispy caramel, when broken and mixed with the custard, made for a perfect post-meal dessert. 🍹In addition to the 3-course meal, we ordered a mocktail. This "Postcard" drink was much better than we expected. A mix of passion fruit juice, pepper, vanilla syrup, and orange blossom water, it was sweet with a hint of sour and very refreshing. The bill came without a 15% tip or a 13% tax—just a clean 13.9€. Of course, we knew that in Europe, these are included in the price, but we were still impressed to find such good value for money in a prime location in Paris. Perhaps even a Michelin meal wouldn't have been as satisfying as this one. When we left the restaurant, full and content, my partner was reluctant to go. If our stomachs had been more cooperative, we could have continued to the neighboring restaurant for a 14€ cheese fondue. But there's always something to look forward to for the next visit. Google rating: 4.5/5. #Paris #ParisExploration #ParisFood #ParisTravel #NotreDame
