Paris | Clamato
Sister restaurant to Septime, focusing on seafood, Clamato showcases the taste and freshness of ingredients through the use of different regional seasonings, hence itâs categorized as creative cuisine. The flavors are incredibly diverse, with offerings like the Frozen Chipotle Mezcalita with Mexican Mescal and chili, octopus with mole sauce, ceviche, Mediterranean Tarama, and even Asian XO and Jeow Som sauces. The elements are many and varied, but because the focus is on seafood and acidic notes, the overall experience remains harmonious. Favorites: đ Bluefin Tuna The richly fatty bluefin tuna paired with sweet, juicy watermelon slices, plus a hint of spiciness from small chili peppers, is the highlight of the dish. đŠ Wild Palpurde Clam Steamed little clams with the richly flavored Thai Jeow Som Sauce, featuring sour, spicy, and sweet notes that highlight the freshness while adding complexity. Not a Fan: đ Black Mullet Ceviche Made with tomato, red currant, and chili oil, the fish is very firm after being pickled in the acidic sauce. However, the acidity is too sharp, overwhelming the other flavors. The wine list is predominantly French; we chose the Face B 2021 from Jura, which was very oaky. If you canât get a reservation at Septime, this place is also worth a visit. đ° Average Cost: âŹ110 (including wine) #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #AtmosphericRestaurant #GlobalFoodieSquad #ParisCuisine #ParisTravel #Seafood
