🏰 Paris | Don't Miss Saint-Sulpice Besides Notre-Dame 🏰

Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris is the second-largest church in the city, located in the 6th arrondissement. The church, with its twin-towered structure, began construction in 1646 and took a lengthy 150 years to complete. The façade of Saint-Sulpice Church is in the Italian style, featuring two rows of superimposed columns, and inside, there are a total of 21 chapels. Highlights: 💒✨The Prime Meridian, which was originally located here before Greenwich "stole" it in 1888. Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" not only uses it as a fictitious hiding place for the members of the Priory of Sion to protect the Holy Grail, but also arranges the revelation of secret clues at the end of the famous Rose Line. Eugène Delacroix (the renowned author of "Liberty Leading the People") painted a mural of "Jacob Wrestling with the Angel" on the wall here. There's also a very famous fresco depicting the struggle between the Archangel Michael and the Devil. Victor Hugo's wedding was held at Saint-Sulpice Church. In Hugo's novel "Les Misérables," it's the place where Marius's father secretly watches over Marius. 🕗 Free Opening Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM #Paris #ParisAttractions #SaintSulpice #DaVinciCode #Hugo
