Paris | Enjoying a Brunch in a Palace 🏰
I went on a shopping spree in Paris for a few days and was fortunate enough to book a Sunday brunch at the stunning Le Meurice Alain Ducasse, a Michelin two-star restaurant that feels like a palace. 🛍️✨ The Sunday brunch menu is particularly special because all the baked goods and desserts are provided by the master of French pastries, Cedric Grolet. No need to worry about lining up at the Opera store to grab them! 🥐🍰 The "freshly-baked pastries" from Cedric Grolet are, in my opinion, the best part of the entire brunch. The (plain croissant) is crispy and flaky, with a soft and evenly aerated interior, filled with the aroma of butter but not overly greasy. The outer layer of pastry is baked to varying degrees of brown, and when you gently pinch it, it crumbles down without leaving any oil on your hands, showing the baking technique is truly on point. 🥐👨🍳 "Grilled octopus" 🐙 The grilled octopus is paired with a delicate hummus and a sauce made from cilantro. The octopus is tender and bouncy, the hummus is creamy, and the cilantro sauce is refreshing, making the taste and texture a complete delight. "White asparagus" 🌱 The tender and juicy white asparagus is topped with fried rhubarb granules that are crispy. Each bite is a burst of sweetness and freshness. The only downside is that there are only three spears, and it's not enough to satisfy my cravings. "Salted caramel pistachios cookies" from Cedric Grolet 🍪 Among all the French sweets, this is my top pick. I'm not a big fan of desserts, but these sea salt caramel pistachio cookies are not overly sweet. The sea salt caramel sauce neutralizes the sweetness of the cookie base, and the pistachios add texture to the soft and chewy cookie. Even I, who never eats desserts, ate more than half of it. Highly recommended! 🌟 The beauty of Le Meurice's restaurant needs no further description. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit. 🍽️🌹 #Brunch #Paris #Croissant #ParisTravel #ParisFood #ParisExploration #ParisDesserts #FrenchDesserts #FrenchRestaurant #ParisMichelinRestaurant #MyHumbleExplorationJournal
