Paris | Orsay Museum ๐จ๐
โญ๏ธ The spot at Orsay for photographing the Olympic flame is simply amazing! ๐ฎ You can take advantage of some great deals. The first Sunday of every month is free, but you need to book in advance online. ๐ชญ In the afternoon, there aren't too many people, and you can quickly get in by buying tickets on-site. ๐ฎ As soon as you enter, head straight to the fifth floor on your right. This is where you'll find works by famous artists like Van Gogh and Monet. The most famous painting by Van Gogh, Starry Night, is currently not on display as it's been borrowed until August 25th. On the fifth floor, there's also an outdoor platform where you can take photos of the Olympic flame. Donโt miss the spot with the big clock that everyone loves to photograph! โฐ๐ธ ๐ผ Unfortunately, today around 4:00 PM, an announcement came over the loudspeaker about an unclaimed bag being found, and they made various announcements in different languages. In the end, they requested everyone to leave immediately through the exit due to a technical issue. So we had to exit before closing time. They seemed to suspect that the unclaimed bag could pose a safety risk. ๐จ๐ณ ๐ฎ After exiting, itโs just a short walk to Les Antiquaires, a restaurant recommended by XHS. Itโs a reasonably priced French restaurant. We ordered a classic French set, including snails, foie gras, and duck confit. The duck confit was delicious! ๐ฝ๏ธ๐ The other dishes were okay, but the service was exceptional. When I asked for a takeout of the duck confit, the waiter ran over to remind me not to heat it in the microwave, but to use an oven instead to preserve its flavor. You can really feel the French dedication to good food! ๐ซ๐ทโค๏ธ ๐๏ธ We then walked to the Palais Bourbon, where we saw the Venus de Milo, another must-see attraction during the Olympics. #Paris #GreatPlacesInParis #Museum
