Paris | Restaurant David Toutain ππΏ
So far this year, the best meal I've had was undoubtedly at the Michelin two-star Restaurant David Toutain in Paris! Chef David Toutain, hailing from Normandy, has a passion for herbs, flowers, and the fruits of the earth, inspired by his farming grandparents. He has worked with culinary masters Alain Passard and Marc Veyrat, experiences that further shaped his plant-centric culinary philosophy. In 2013, he opened his eponymous restaurant, which was awarded two Michelin stars and a Green Star for its sustainable efforts. π±π Last year, this chef opened his first restaurant outside of France, Feuille, in Hong Kong. It received rave reviews as soon as it opened and has already been awarded a Michelin star and a Green Star. I loved Feuille so much that I decided to dine at Restaurant David Toutain during my trip to Paris. I am so glad I did, as it was the best meal I've had so far this year. The food was incredibly delicate, with flavors perfectly balanced, and each dish left us in awe. For me, this was a three-Michelin-star dining experience. ππ₯ Lunch offers four experiences, with menus named after plants. We chose the 8-course Queen Of The Meadows menu, which began with a series of delicious amuse-bouches, followed by tasty Italian bread, beautiful dorade, and delicious squid. Other incredible highlights included an incredibly delicate black sesame sauce with herring, rhubarb almond white asparagus, buckwheat and sea lettuce abalone, and the most elegant vanilla and caramel dessert ever! π½οΈπ #Paris #ParisTravel #ParisFood #ParisFoodExploration #DavidToutain #FoodCriticContest
