Paris | Returning to Montmartre after a Decade
I fell in love with Montmartre at first sight when I visited Paris for the first time ten years ago.🌅 🎇🎇This year, I came again before the Olympics. Unlike the hasty glance back then, this time I finally had the chance to experience it in depth. 🌈【First Stop: Basilique du Sacré-Cœur】 📍Address: 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris This snow-white Roman-Byzantine-style church stands at the highest point of Montmartre and is one of Paris' landmark buildings🎈. From the square in front of the church, you can overlook the stunning cityscape of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame de Paris and more all in sight—perfect for photos📷. 🌼【Second Stop: Place du Tertre】 📍Address: Place du Tertre, 75018 Paris Place du Tertre is a place full of artistic atmosphere, where many street painters gather🎨, creating portraits or landscapes for tourists. Here, you can sit down and let a painter create a unique travel souvenir for you, or wander around the surrounding galleries and art shops to feel Montmartre's artistic vibe. 📖【Third Stop: Halle Saint Pierre】 Known as one of Paris' most romantic niche bookstores, Halle Saint Pierre has a high ceiling and mainly sells art books and albums. There is also a small exhibition hall that holds regular exhibitions. In addition, there is a nice café inside offering simple but delicious meals. The bookstore is located at 2 Rue Ronsard, 75018 Paris on Montmartre. You can enjoy the pleasure of reading while soaking in Montmartre's strong artistic atmosphere. You can also go up the spiral staircase nearby to find the bookstore's best viewing spot and enjoy the surrounding scenery.🎆🎆 💖【Fourth Stop: Mur des Je t'aime (Love Wall)】 📍Address: Square Jehan Rictus, 75018 Paris Near Abbesses Metro Station, the Love Wall is made of 612 dark blue rectangular tiles, inscribed with "I love you" in 311 languages and handwriting. It's a must-visit romantic spot for couples. I went there on my first trip to Paris, but this time it was probably under renovation due to the Olympics and not open. 🚇【Transport Guide】 You can take Metro Line 2 to Anvers Station, or Line 12 to Abbesses Station. 💕Montmartre is a charming and romantic place, with many paths and cafés that are incredibly beautiful, waiting for you to explore. #MontmartreParis #ParisGuide #MontmartreGuide #ParisTravel #Travel #TravelBits #TravelDiary
