Paris | The Best Bookstore in the World

🔶Before visiting Shakespeare and Company, I didn’t have high expectations. After all, it’s so famous and always crowded, so I assumed it would just be another typical bookstore to clock in spot. 🔶But once I arrived, I began to see its charm. The ground floor was filled with tourists and visitors, but the second floor still had plenty of space and seating. It was touching to see such a famous bookstore maintaining the tradition of a reading room. No matter the era or the moment, there will always be people who need a place to sit and read, and Shakespeare and Company is exactly that kind of place. 🔶Though the crowd was constant, every corner of the second floor had someone immersed in a book. The readers exuded a quiet strength. In a postcard to a friend, I wrote: “In this shared space, there’s an unspoken tacit understanding among those who read. It’s as if your presence and theirs, each absorbed in your own book, offers a subtle sense of support.” 📚 Shakespeare and Company 37 Rue de la Bûcherie, 75005 Paris #EverySecondCounts #TravelDiary #MyPhotographyDiary #ParisTravel #ParisLife
