Paris • A Cinematic Pilgrimage for Film Lovers
Paris is a paradise for cinephiles—so many iconic movie locations that'll give you goosebumps! Here’s my celluloid treasure hunt: 🎬 Iconic Film Spots 🏛 Louvre Museum • The Grande Galerie is where the trio raced in Bande à Part (1964)—later homaged in The Dreamers (they broke the record!). I nearly recreated the sprint... till I imagined being deported. ⛪ Notre-Dame • That poignant dialogue in Before Sunset (2004) became tragically prophetic in 2019. 📚 Shakespeare & Company • This century-old bookstore (no photos allowed!) is where Jesse and Celine reunited in Before Sunset, and where Owen Wilson time-traveled in Midnight in Paris. I could almost hear the 1920s’ literary debates echoing... ☕ Les Deux Magots • Featured in Midnight in Paris, but ouch—those prices! My friends and I bolted to a cheaper café next door. 🍮 Café des 2 Moulins • The workplace of Amélie Poulain! For €9.50, I shattered (and devoured) her iconic crème brûlée, just like in the film. Pure magic. ⛪ Sacré-Cœur • Another Amélie backdrop. Crowded but dreamy, with its white domes and hilltop views—like stepping into that final scene at 23°C under cloudy skies. #Paris #ParisTravel #FrenchCinema #MovieLocations #BeforeSunset #MidnightInParis #Amelie #FilmTourism
