Paris Botanical Garden 🌿

Located in the 5th arrondissement, the Paris Botanical Garden originated in 1626 and is part of the Natural History Museum, making it a great destination for weekend outings. The Jardin des Plantes itself is free to enter, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flowers and plants. However, the adjacent Grandes Serres (the Great Greenhouses) charge an entrance fee of €9, with EU students under 26 paying €7. 🎟️ Once you purchase your ticket and enter, the first area you’ll encounter is the Tropical Rainforest Zone, a dreamy forest filled with tropical plants from Africa, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. Here, you can admire banana trees, climbing vines, ferns, and various tropical flowers. At the end of this section, you can climb up to the rocky area for a breathtaking view of the rainforest ecosystem. 🌳🌺 Moving on, you’ll enter the greenhouse dedicated to Deserts and Arid Environments, showcasing a variety of cacti from the Americas, Australia, Mexico, and the Sahara. You’ll find cacti of all shapes and sizes, including spiky ones, ball-shaped, columnar, and flat varieties. 🌵 Further ahead is a specialized greenhouse dedicated to the islands of Oceania. Due to the isolation of Oceania from other continents, many of the plants on these islands have become incredibly unique, with 76% of species not found anywhere else. The greenhouse features humid forests, dry forests, shrublands, savannas, and mangroves, hosting many rare plants. 🌍✨ #Park #Recreation #RecommendedSpot #Nature #TropicalPlants #Paris #ParisLife #BotanicalGarden #Outing
