Liljefors was an incredibly meticulous observer, passionate about the diversity of the biological world, capturing on the spot the ospreys on the tops of maritime pines, the eider ducks evolving in the cold waters of the archipelago, and the capercaillies parading through the forests. His style is characterized by exquisite handling of light and atmosphere. His aesthetic research was greatly influenced by Japonisme and Far Eastern art, which is evidenced by the arrangement of some of his paintings in large gilded frames, giving the whole a decorative character. In an era where the protection of biodiversity has become a significant issue, Liljefors invites us, beyond his role as a defender of Swedish nature, to understand the entire living world we are part of. 📝 Bruno Liljefors' brushwork is incredibly delicate; the demeanor and posture of all the animals are captured just right. Additionally, the Petit Palais itself is very beautiful, with interiors that are very French in style. Especially the grand spiral staircase, highly recommended for photo-loving ladies! #Paris #ExhibitionVisit #ParisExhibitionCheckIn #Weekend #ArtExhibition
