Paris Gastronomy | Overindulging on Smoked Beef at a Restaurant 🍖🥪
Tucked away in the Marais district, Schwartz's American-style restaurant offers full portions and an exceptional atmosphere. 🥪 Main Course I chose their specialty, The best hot pastrami sandwich😋. The toasted bread slices are filled with an overwhelming amount of smoked beef, stacked layer upon layer, which is mesmerizing just to look at. The beef edges are dipped in black pepper and served with pickles and sauerkraut to cut through the richness🥰. Sides can be either salad and fries🍟, or a mix of both, saving those with choice paralysis. There's also a very hot version with veal, which sounds promising for a next visit. The Reuben has smoked beef, onions, and cheese🧀, making the flavor profile even richer. Mac & cheese balls, a common sight in Italian restaurants, are curly pasta + cheese, and they still stretch when cut open. The accompanying sauce has a hint of black truffle, my personal favorite haha. Onion rings, a staple in American restaurants, are sweet and crispy, perfect for pairing with drinks. Crispy chicken dips have a very crispy batter, and while the inside is slightly dry, the yellow smash sauce is delicious. Drinks🥤 We all ordered alcohol-free frozen limonade🥤, flavored with fruits. The yellow one is passion fruit, the pink one is strawberry🍓, and the white one is lychee. Dessert🍮 Of course, at an American restaurant, you have to try the cheesecake! The cake is incredibly smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness🍓, and the strawberries add extra points. The cookie🍪 here is a specialty, served in a little pot, warm and soft, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, nuts, and caramel sauce.
