Paris Hidden Gem Museums 🏛️🔍
For curious and interesting souls, don't miss out on the 'Musée des Arts et Métiers 🌟', one of the oldest museums of industrial technology in the world, affiliated with the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), founded in 1794. The permanent exhibition is divided into seven themes: scientific instruments, materials, construction, communication, energy, machinery, and transportation. The original intention of the museum's establishment was to preserve science and technology and to disseminate knowledge. In the introduction, there's a touching phrase: "Il faut éclairer l’ignorance qui ne connaît pas, et la pauvreté qui n’a pas les moyens de connaître." We must enlighten the ignorance that does not know, and the poverty that has no means to know. I personally think it's a very interesting and treasure trove of a museum, after all, technology itself is a fascinating thing. Ladies, please don't miss out just because you don't love science and engineering subjects! 💕 The museum's former life as a church means its architectural structure is beautiful, and the collections inside create a very strong vintage and punk aesthetic. It's also nice to appreciate old objects or take a photo with the architecture! As someone who hangs out in engineering circles, I felt like a curious baby visiting a large laboratory throughout the visit, and I felt ashamed that I wanted to study hard at the moment. 😅 The most memorable phrase I kept saying was, "What is this? How can humans create such amazing things?" #ParisArtsAndCraftsMuseum #ParisMuseums #HiddenMuseums#CityMuseumMap #BeautyOfScience #MuseumsWorthVisiting #FranceTravel #ParisTravel #ParisExhibitions
