Paris is full of surprises! Who knew museums could be this much fun!
This weekend’s free admission event at the Quai Branly Museum was really enjoyable, the atmosphere was fantastic! The French really know how to have a good time. How many more surprises does Paris have in store that I don’t know about! 🎉🤔 I watched two dance performances in the evening, 💃 ‘Cabaret Drag King’ by Kings Factory and 🕺 ‘Outrar’ by the Brazilian dancer Volmir Cordeiro. I left reluctantly, but the event continued until midnight, including a DJ night. It’s hard to imagine what it’s like to have a dance party in a museum that showcases traditional art and ethnic history… 🕺🎶 For ‘Outrar’, everyone relaxed and sat on the floor in a circle to watch, the interaction was fun and it made me feel happy, yet a bit uncomfortable when I thought about it. I have so much respect for the dancers. 🙌 The performance by Kings Factory was amazing. I never expected that my first drag show would be in a museum! Unbelievable 🥹 It was as I imagined, yet it exceeded my expectations. So beautiful and powerful! Absolutely captivating (screaming!) After the show, as I left the museum, the rain continued to fall at night. Looking up, I saw the magnolia flowers in bloom and the Eiffel Tower illuminated. I felt like singing a song by Mayday loud: ——“I can be male or female, can drift and wander, adjust the percentage” ——“I want you to see me, you shouldn’t guess, you should enjoy” Tonight, I fell in love with Paris all over again. 🖤 #QuaiBranlyMuseum #BranlyDockMuseum #ParisMuseums #EiffelTower #ArtExhibition #Performance
