Paris Must-Try: The Patriarchal Snail Restaurant 🐌

Established in 1832, with nearly two centuries of history, this is a must-visit patriarchal snail restaurant 🐌 for tourists. You can spot the golden giant snail on the door from afar! The restaurant itself is exquisitely retro, and even a quick peek inside is enough to take your breath away! They offer snails in five flavors: Traditional / Cheese Hazelnut / Truffle / Foie Gras / Chili I ordered a mixed platter of 12, and the snails were soft and bouncy, truly delicious!! The sauce paired with bread sticks was also very fragrant 👌🏻 The other dishes were just average: Pan-fried Foie Gras The foie gras was incredibly rich and oily, with an explosion of fat fragrance that melts in your mouth. Paired with a bit of sea salt to cut the richness (delicious yet guilt-inducing...). Beef Bourguignon Stew The Burgundy stewed beef was hard to judge; the beef was not tender at all, seeming like pre-prepared food 🙉 Perhaps they are better at oil-sealing or pan-frying. Verte Salad Adding a salad for 5 euros was the wisest choice. The complimentary baguette was also quite tasty 🥖, salty, fragrant, and crispy! Next time, I'll definitely indulge in more snails. #HiddenGemRestaurant #FrenchCuisine #Paris #ParisFood #WhatToEatInParis #SnailRestaurant #GlobalFoodAndDrinkSquad #MustEatInParis #FrenchFood
