Paris to Brussels: 1-Day Tour š
Travel from Paris to Brussels in a dayāitās easy and relaxing! š Getting There & Back Departure from Paris: Take the Eurostar from Paris Gare Du Nord to Brussels-Midi. Once inside the station, check the display screens to find your platform and board on time. The train looks a bit old from the outside, but the interior facilities are greatāthereās charging ports and free WiFi š¶! Transfer in Brussels: After arriving (1.5 hours later), head to the hall and switch to a local Belgian train to Brussels Central. The ride takes just 4 minutes, and almost every local trainās first stop is Brussels Centralājust follow the screens for the next departure. Best of all: your Eurostar ticket covers this local train ride, and thereās usually no ticket check š«! Return to Paris: Catch the evening train backāperfect timing to end the day without rushing. š¶š»āāļø Walking Itinerary Brussels Grand Place š° Surrounded by the Town Hall and cafĆ©s, itās super lively! I saw a wedding inside the Town Hall (with music playing) and a band performing at the entranceāsuch a festive vibe š¶. Manneken Pis š¦ A quick photo stop for this iconic tiny statueācheck it off your list! Brussels Park (Parc de Bruxelles) š³ A spacious parkāgreat for a casual walk or sitting to relax for a bit. Galeries Royales St Hubert (Brussels Arcade) šļø Shops line both sides, but prices are on the higher sideāfun to browse, but no need to splurge. Brussels Royal Palace šļø Across from Brussels Park. Its exterior looks plain, and itās not open to the publicāI didnāt even see a guard there. Mont des Arts (Art Mountain) šØ A historic site turned artsy district. It has a fantastic viewpointāyou can overlook Brusselsā charming cityscape from here š! Tintin Comic Book Store š Filled with Tintin comics and merchāideal for anyone whoās young at heart š. š« Food Highlights Recommended Chocolate Shop: LAURENT GERBAUD (next to Mont des Arts) Their hot chocolate is rich and creamy, and the ice cream is sweet and delicious š¦! Grab their local chocolate (72% cocoa) as a giftāitās not too sweet, way better than many famous chocolate shops (I tried several boxes from big names, and they were all too sugary) š«. Lunch Note: I ordered beef tartareādidnāt expect the raw beef to be so raw and in such a large portion. I could handle a small bite, but couldnāt finish more (total waste). Itās probably not for Chinese palates š„©. ⨠Overall Vibe A slow, unhurried day wandering Brusselsājust the right amount of time, no tiredness, no rush.
