Peak Enjoyment at Otter Lodge – A Mountain Top Treasure! 🦦🏔️

Listen up, friends – this isn’t a four-star luxury hotel. You don’t come here for sleek modern decor or high-tech amenities. You’re not in a big city or an overpriced resort. What you are getting is a cozy, welcoming spot right off the Blue Ridge Parkway – a peaceful place to sleep and recharge after a day filled with hiking, scenic drives, and exploring nature’s wonders. 🥾🍃🚗 We used our room just for resting and sleeping – and it was perfect for that. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had some nice upgrades, including a new tub and a lovely, strong shower 🛁💦 – which was a top priority for me! Every room has a back door opening onto a porch with outdoor seating – the ideal spot to soak in views of the lake, trees, and mountains. It’s beautiful, relaxing, and especially magical with a good book and a glass of wine 🍷📖. A friendly reminder: don’t complain about the non-smart TV signal or the spotty internet. Instead – take a walk by the lake 🌊🍂. Adjust your expectations for the restaurant, though we found both breakfast and dinner to be more than adequate 🍳🍽️. We visited just after Labor Day, so the lodge wasn’t too busy. We were warmly welcomed by two kind waitresses, and service and food came quickly. Plus – those views while dining? Unbeatable! 🌄❤️ We’ve been here twice now and truly cherish the tranquility and natural beauty.
