Per capita $$ scallops and sea urchins toro feast

✨ Kaizen ✨ 33-70 Farrington St, Queens, NY 11354 💰 $55-100 Here are my honest thoughts: ✨ It has a sushi bar vibe, perfect for couples or friends who want to enjoy Japanese food with drinks. The decor is modern—not the traditional wooden Japanese style—and there are plenty of tables plus big sofas that fit 7-8 people, great for groups. ✨ The hand rolls are fusion-style, and maybe because it’s newly opened, they’re super generous with ingredients. Usually, hand rolls use (chopped bits), but here, dishes like scallop or chutoro hand rolls have a whole big piece—like a 1.5-2x larger sushi. So satisfying 😍 ✨ The drinks are amazing‼️ My bestie got a lycheetini and raved about it—pink and pretty, with a sweet lychee flavor. I had a shiso fine, which is strong and perfect if you want to get in the mood 🍹 ✨ There are two fixed hand roll sets on the menu: 5 pieces per set. The original is $35, the premium is $55—and you can also order a la carte. ✨ We got the premium set and added some extra. These rich, indulgent ones were so good: the wagyu is seared with a blowtorch, and the uni portions are huge. 💡 Chutoro 💡 Hokkaido uni with caviar 💡 A5 wagyu with uni and caviar 💡 Hokkaido scallops with ikura 💡 Also, the Kumamoto oysters appetizer was great—the uni and roe texture mixed perfectly, and the oysters were super fresh 🦪 ✨ I think they taste even better without the outer nori—definitely try that! ✨ Portions aren’t huge—for reference, I was moderately hungry and ate 6. That’s it for today’s share—if you liked it, give it a like before you go! Follow me for more NYC life bits. Hope everyone has a great almost-Friday 😊 #NewYorkFood #NewYorkFoodGuide #NewYorkSushi #NewYorkAffordableSushi #NewYorkJapaneseFood #FlushingFood #FlushingJapaneseFood #NewYorkFoodReview #NewYorkValueFood #NewYorkSushi #NewYorkHandRolls #FlushingNYFood #NewYorkNewRestaurant
