Perlouse Oyster Bar in Paris

On my first day in Paris, I finally got to try the affordable oysters that my friend had recommended. 😋 Taste: The oysters had a salty and fresh flavor, which I could accept. The ones I usually have in China, like Gillardeau, are not as salty, but these were very fresh and slightly sweet. Adding a bit of chili sauce really complemented the salty taste. 🍴 Menu Variety: The overall variety is quite limited. We ordered a small seafood platter, plus six large No. 2 oysters, making a full platter. The [whelks] in the platter were perfect for a salty palate, with a pickled flavor that was very tasty. We also ordered some fried fish balls, one of the few hot dishes available. 🍷 We had apple CIDER, which the staff said had a beer-like taste, but I thought it was more like sparkling white wine. 💰 Price: The prices are indeed very reasonable. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., they offer a happy hour with oyster and drink packages ranging from €10 to €14, which is a great deal. Maybe because the French tend to eat dinner later, the happy hour before dinner is similar to an afternoon session in China. It's definitely worth a visit for oyster lovers. After the meal, it’s just a 200-meter walk to the Moulin Rouge. On weekends, after 10 p.m., the streets are filled with people sitting outside the restaurants, embodying the quintessential French laid-back vibe. It’s so charming! 🫠 #oysters #Perlouse #Paris
