🏰 Peter and Paul Fortress | Who hasn't visited Hare Island 🐰 yet?

📍 Located on the Neva River, this is the birthplace of St. Petersburg - the Peter and Paul Fortress 🏰, also affectionately known as "Hare Island" 🐰 Заячий остров 🐰! 🏛️ Initially built to protect the city 🛡️, the fortress later evolved into a complex of fortifications and a prison. Here, you can see 👀 the Peter and Paul Cathedral ⛪, bell tower 🕍, prison museum 🏚️, and many other historical buildings and attractions. 🌟 The Peter and Paul Cathedral, as the core of the fortress, is gorgeously decorated inside and also houses the burial sites of many important figures in Russian history, giving you a strong sense of historical atmosphere. 🚇 Transportation Tip: Take the metro to "Gorkovskaya" station, then walk to the fortress, it's super convenient! 💰 Ticket Information: Entry to the fortress is free 🆓, but visiting the cathedral or other museums requires a ticket. We chose the combined ticket for 800 ₽, which is great value! (Note: Some exhibits may not be included.) ⏰ Duration: It is recommended to spend 3-5 hours to slowly explore the fortress. Operating Hours: The fortress is open daily from 6:00 to 21:00; the cathedral, prison, and others usually start operating around 10 or 11 am and close around 6 or 7 pm. #AskIfYouDontUnderstand #StPetersburg #Russia #StPetersburgTravel #Travel #Abroad #ForeignLife #RussianLife
