Petit Palais Art Museum | Paris 🎨
The Petit Palais is located right across from the Grand Palais, on Avenue Winston Churchill in Paris. Like the Grand Palais, it was built for the 1900 World Expo. On December 11, 1902, the Petit Palais officially opened as an art museum, with then-President Émile Loubet attending the ceremony. 🎉 Designed by Charles Girault, the building features a rectangular layout surrounding a semi-circular garden, complemented by a beautifully adorned colonnade. 🌸 The museum spans two levels and showcases European art from ancient times, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, to the 19th century, with a particular focus on decorative murals and sculptures by French artists. 🖼️ Important collections include Monet's Sunset over Lavacourt on the Seine and Rembrandt's Self-Portrait in Oriental Costume. The museum also has a gift shop and a café. ☕🛍️ Opening Hours: Open Tuesday to Sunday (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM), last entry at 5:15 PM. Admission: Free entry. #ArtExhibition #MuseumVisit #MyDailyLife #LivingWell #DailyShare #DocumentingMyLife #Paris #France #LifeAsAMovie
