Pilgrim's Diary: A Journey to Buddha's Enlightenment Land
📸 First Photo: This is our guesthouse terrace! The man in traditional Indian attire is our host. Zoom in—behind him, you can see the spire of Mahabodhi Temple! He told us: "Just walk 1.2km through the fields... though you'll need to wade across a small river." 🌾🚶♂️💦 🌼 Rural Snapshots:Sari-clad village women balancing bamboo baskets on their heads, walking along rice paddies 🧺👩🌾Wild chrysanthemums blooming everywhere—these golden flowers are both sacred offerings and cash crops 💛 🛶 The Sacred River Crossing: That "small river" we crossed? None other than the Niranjana River—where Buddha bathed after years of asceticism! We even saw local women lighting incense by its banks in prayer. 🕯️🌊 ⚒️ Historical Revival: Most ruins here—including the Diamond Throne (Vajrasana)—were excavated in 1861 by British archaeologist Alexander Cunningham and restored in 1870. #Bodhgaya#Bodhgaya water park#India#travel guide#trip diary#India guide#Pilgrim
