Pittsburgh's Museum of AI Education: NoRILLA Project

🌿In 2022, with funding from the National Science Foundation, the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University partnered with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh to develop a project called NoRILLA 🌿NoRILLA is an interactive exhibit designed for children, utilizing artificial intelligence to help kids learn through hands-on activities. To date, this exhibit has been promoted in museums, libraries, preschools, and primary and secondary schools across Europe and America, including The Children's Museum of Atlanta, Please Touch Museum, Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose, and CaixaForum Valencia. The aim is to teach children the concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), inspire their curiosity, and foster critical thinking 🌿Research findings from the NoRILLA project have been reported in authoritative media and journals such as Forbes, USNews, and the Journal of the Learning Sciences. Studies have shown that integrating artificial intelligence into museum exhibits can enhance children's learning outcomes and extend their engagement time 🌿Compared to traditional lectures, courses, or reading, engaging children through interactive activities, discussions, feedback, and AI-enhanced technology can effectively improve academic performance, cultivate passion for STEAM subjects, and exercise critical thinking skills #PublicArt #EarlyEducation #ExhibitDesign #AI #Museum #Pittsburgh
