Pittsburgh 🧡 My Beloved Mushroom Dishes Are Back!!

We visited again — and it’s just as amazing ✨ We were just here in early June, and now back in August! That’s pretty frequent for someone like me who’s currently fitness-training 💪 No more chit-chat — let’s get straight to the food! 🌟 Braised Foraged Mushrooms Seasonal wild mushrooms — so tender and flavorful! Tossed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and Parmesan, then served with freshly baked focaccia. The perfect summer appetizer — bright, tangy, and utterly delicious 😋 🌟 Cacio E Peppe Rice Cake w/ Mushroom Whoever came up with this dish is a GENIUS 🧠 “Cacio E Pepe” here means cheesy and peppery — not pasta! It’s actually lightly fried mushrooms + chewy rice cakes 🤤 Served warm — the mushrooms taste so meaty and satisfying! The melted cheese with the rice cakes is just… chef’s kiss Portion is generous — we couldn’t finish it but left very happy 😆 🌟 Beet Salad The beet salad is back!! I still remember having it last fall 🍂 This time it did not disappoint — roasted beets with goat cheese, vinaigrette, and subtle herbs. So flavorful and well-balanced. A must-try if you’re new to beets! 🌟 Duck Breast w/ Kale + Duck Fat Potatoes Pan-seared duck breast + mandarin-orange glazed kale + duck fat roasted potatoes 🦆 Every component was a star ✨ Crispy skin, tender meat, tangy-sweet kale that’s not bitter at all, and purple potatoes roasted till crispy outside, sweet and soft inside — almost like sweet potatoes! Once again, too full for dessert… next time!! This place is truly a hidden gem — literally every dish made my eyes sparkle 🤩 The owner is super sweet too!
