Pittsburgh ✨ Revisited and tried new dishe
You’ve probably seen this place before 😆 Jillian’s in New Kensington Friends came to visit, and I took them here. We drove 30 minutes through a heavy snowstorm on the winter solstice, and they said it was totally worth it!! ✨ Chip & Dip Onion dip topped with caviar and salmon roe— the fanciest chips we’ve ever had 💲35, worth every penny! The chips were super crispy and delicious even on their own, and the seasoning didn’t clash with the dip. 🐚 Nduja Scallop The scallops were tender and fresh. Paired with a huge portion of cream cheese-style dip—perfect with bread. 🍄🟫 Marinated Mushroom A must-order! We get it every time and never get tired of it. Made with balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese, served with arugula and olive oil. We even added 🍞 Bread Service A whole focaccia with dipping oil—so fragrant on its own! Perfect with the mushroom and scallop cream sauces. We cleaned the plate! 🥩 Hanger Steak + Fries This steak is unbeatable—21-day dry-aged, super juicy and flavorful. Even my foreign friends gave it rave reviews~ And the fries deserve a shoutout—they’re good enough to order on their own. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. 🐟 Rainbow Trout Seafood lovers, you have to try this locally sourced rainbow trout. Pan-seared to perfection with shallot & parsley butter. A squeeze of lemon at the end makes it refreshing and delicious—a must-order for me. 🐔 1/2 Roasted Chicken Simple but delicious roasted chicken. First time trying it, and even the breast was tender—magic! 💕 Jillian’s Restaurant 📍 400 Freeport St, New Kensington The owner, Jillian, is super nice—she enthusiastically introduces the dishes and gives great ordering suggestions. All the ingredients are locally sourced. I’ve been here four or five times and have never been disappointed with any dish! #Pittsburgh #PittsburghFood #PittsburghEats #PittsburghDining #PittsburghFoodie #WeekendVibes
