Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

Pittsburgh Diner | Pamela's Diner

The ambiance is average, with no delivery options and only takeout available. The place closes promptly at 2 PM every day, run by a boss with a bit of a temper 👍. However, it's a chain restaurant, so you can find one nearby without having to travel far for breakfast. 💐Despite the unfriendly business hours for those who like to sleep in, it has to be said that the food here has its charm. In three sentences: affordable and generous portions, limited choices, and unremarkable in appearance but shining in quality. If it's your first time, I recommend trying their hotcake set upgraded to a specialty hotcake and adding a corned beef hash to taste all their specialties.💐 The so-called hotcake is a type of pancake, but it's very fluffy in texture rather than dense. The slightly burnt edges are particularly delicious 😋. The pancakes themselves have a slight saltiness, but the fillings are sweet. I remember I had a strawberry filling, which included plenty of strawberry slices + sour cream + brown sugar, and the topping was whipped cream, so the overall taste is very rich. It's the kind of dish that looks "how so rough" at first glance but takes one bite and suddenly fills your soul with satisfaction. 💐I visited the branch on Walnut Street, which seems to have a morning market on weekends, selling various handicrafts and snacks. On a sunny morning, after enjoying a super satisfying breakfast and then strolling around to digest, it's really healing. It feels like I'm starting to fall in love with Pittsburgh in the summer. #Pittsburgh #PittsburghExplore #PittsburghFood #PittsburghLife #PittsburghTravel
