Pittsburgh Dining Diary | Eleven - Let's Talk About the Food
🍽 The pre-meal bread was complimentary, and one type with nuts and dried fruits was particularly fragrant. I usually don't like sour bread, but theirs, paired with the butter, was delicious. 🍽 Oysters 🦪 - Fresh and tasty! I asked the handsome waiter, and they are from New York. Eleven's accompanying hot sauce was quite unique and spicy, which I loved! 🍽 Sea scallops - A must-order dish at American restaurants haha, with firm, tender, and smooth texture, you can't go wrong with it. 🍽 For the entree, the first one I had was swordfish, which is a popular dish at this restaurant. The most distinctive thing was the forbidden rice that came with it, salty and delicious. 🍽 Pork chop - As someone who loves pork, I found the cooking and cutting method very American. The pork belly was cut in the American style, which means most of it is lean meat with a ring of fat around it. I was slightly disappointed because I prefer meat with a mix of fat and lean, but the side dishes were also delicious, with a slight sourness that perfectly cut through the richness of the pork. Overall, the ambiance was great, the waitstaff were handsome, and the dishes were good too. 👌 Next time, I'd like to try their burger and other entrees, as I felt the ones I ordered this time were just average.
