Pittsburgh Food Adventure 🇬🇧 Fig + Pistachio = Perfect Match 🔒
I visited this Greek cafe + bakery back when it first opened, and now they have even more to offer! Met a friend for brunch—it’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it. Highly recommend! 🥑 Got my all-time favorite avocado toast, added salmon on top The seeds and olive oil made it extra flavorful! (Their olive oil is imported from Greece—super authentic!) My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich The bun and scrambled eggs were so fluffy~she loved it ☕️ I tried the Freddo Espresso Iced whipped espresso with sugar Didn’t snap a pic, but it was interesting—kinda like that whipped coffee trend from the pandemic…what was it called again? (They use beans from Devocion in New York—rare around here!) My friend got the Meli Latte—so good!! Cinnamon and Greek honey 🍯 made it naturally sweet and unique~definitely a must-try! 💕 And the star: Fig + Pistachio Danish Absolutely delicious! Topped with fig jam and crushed pistachios Plus a creamy custard filling—rich but not too sweet The pastry was flaky and full of flavor✨ They had two other flavors—apricot and strawberry almond, I think? Lots of baked goods to choose from—my friend took home olive bread, and I grabbed a baguette sandwich🥖 The one in the middle of —ham and cheese—so tasty 😋 Next time I’m trying their weekend brunch—eggs benedict here I come! And maybe the Niçoise salad from the lunch menu too~ 🇬🇷 Anthos Cafe + Bakery 📍 3803 Willow Ave, Castle Shannon 🅿️ Free street parking available right across the street Wishing everyone a great weekend~Like and follow if you enjoyed this! #Pittsburgh #PittsburghEats #PittsburghFoodie #COTD #Devocion #BrunchGoals #PittsburghFood #FoodDiary
