Pittsburgh Food Adventure 🇬🇷 New Greek-style Cafe in Town! 💙
Wahaha~ Happy weekend, everyone! Today I'm recommending a newly opened Greek cafe~ It just opened last weekend, and I went there for lunch on Sunday. The space is spacious, but ordering took forever because everyone was struggling to choose—everything looked so delicious!! Had to wait in line for quite a while 😅 Ended up eating almost two portions by myself 🍽️ Anthos House Salad 🥗 ➕ Sautéed cremini and oyster mushrooms ➕ Toasted almonds, figs, and cheese ➕ House-made apple molasses + olive oil sauce ➕ Chicken This salad is huge and packed with flavors—highly recommended! The sautéed mushrooms in the salad were amazing (definitely gonna try making this at home!). The dried figs and apple-flavored sauce gave it a subtle sweetness—I loved it! The almonds added a nice crunchy texture 👌 I also added chicken for just $2—great for protein and super worth it! Avocado Toast 🥑 A must-have on any brunch menu~ Their bread is homemade (they sell it in-store too—check the pic 👉). The avocado 🥑 was perfectly ripe, and the pumpkin seeds and dill made it extra fragrant~ But the portion was pretty small for $10—not the best value 😬 Since I ordered the salad too, I was still super full after both! Americano ☕️ They use their specialty beans—rich and flavorful! They also have a signature frappe that many people recommended (I didn’t try it this time—let me know if you do!). Just look at the pics—so many delicious options, right? 🥐 Pastry lovers will have plenty to choose from! After much deliberation, I took home a Veggie Koulouri for $6 (that’s the sesame ring bread on the left in !). It’s a vegetarian sandwich with feta cheese 🧀, chopped olives 🫒, and tomatoes 🍅. Heated it in the oven for 5 minutes the next day—so fragrant and tasty! The lady in front of me ordered the Focaccia Sandwich (on the right in )—she said it was super delicious! The café is decorated in that classic blue Greek seaside resort style ⛱️ The owner is Greek—super friendly and patient! He’ll explain all the ingredients and special seasonings to you~ They also sell authentic Greek products in the store! If you visit, definitely let me know what you recommend trying! I already want to go back!! 🇬🇷 Anthos Bakery & Cafe 📍 3803 Willow Ave, Castle Shannon, PA 15234 #PittsburghEats #PittsburghFood #GreekCuisine#PittsburghTravel #PittsburghCoffee 🇬🇷☕️✨
