Pittsburgh Food Find šŸ”„ A Cozy & Refined American Gem šŸ‘€

Once again, I fell for their winter menu… It’s been a year since my last visit, and I’m still amazed! BTW they call themselves ā€œAmerican,ā€ but I’d say it’s more like Euro-American fusion. ✨ Octopus A must-order for octopus lovers! Portion isn’t huge, but the flavor is incredible. Tender inside, slightly chewy outsideļ½ž Served over a dual-layer sauce: potato and mildly spicy chili. Finished with crisp green apple slices šŸ The combination is complex yet refreshing—highly recommend! ✨ Burrata Who can resist this creamy, dreamy cheese? So fresh and smooth šŸ§€ Comes with two styles of beet: pickled (tangy and thin-sliced) and roasted (sweet and tender). If you like beets, you’ll love this. If not… still worth a try! (I don’t usually order beets, but when they’re done this well—yes!) Also includes grapefruit segments for a bright, citrusy touch. ✨ Monkfish Stew A rich and aromatic seafood stew! The broth is everything šŸ² Features monkfish, scallops, and clams—all perfectly cooked. Even the greens (two little gems) were surprisingly flavorful. The broth has coconut milk, lemongrass, and maybe tomato? (Not sure why it’s orange… but who cares when it’s this delicious!) ✨ Pappardelle Wide Italian pastaļ½ž We got the half portion, but it was still huge and super filling šŸ Tossed with roasted Brussels sprouts and squash—so fragrant! The sauce has a balsamic touch and a hint of chili… Kinda gave me ā€œdry pot cabbageā€ vibes (in a good way šŸ˜†). Sounds unusual, but tastes amazing! Carbs = comfort, always ā¤ļø (We were too full for dessert 🄲) Attached their current winter menu ā„ļø They change dishes seasonally, so the menu is small but intentional. The chef really knows how to balance flavors and textures—whether you prefer sweet or spicy, seafood or meat, carbs or protein, light or bold… there’s something for everyone. We both left super happy and satisfied! Heads up: Dinner only! Highly recommend booking ahead. We reserved late and got outdoor seating, but it was warmly heated—no worries! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Fig & Ash šŸ“ 514 E Ohio St šŸ…æļø Street parking is easy and convenient Hope this helpsļ½ž Like and save if you enjoyed! #PittsburghFood #PittsburghEats #PittsburghLife#ThingsToDoInPittsburgh #PittsburghDining #Pittsburgh#WeekendVibes #FoodExploration
