Pittsburgh Surrounding Farm: Paying to Help with Farm Work πŸ“

πŸ’° $15 per person for a basket (additional person +$3) A first-time farm experience for a city-grown kid! It's about a 40-minute drive from Pittsburgh. As a child, I used to pick strawberries in the spring during school-organized social practice activities. Back then, we picked strawberries in greenhouses. This is my first time at an American farm, and picking strawberries outdoors πŸ“. The scenery is really nice. My friend who had been here before said the strawberries were pretty but not very tasty, so we were mentally prepared. However, we found the taste to be acceptable! I found them a bit sweet and bitter, while my friend thought they were sweet and sour. In any case, they were still very okay πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ. πŸ“In addition to picking strawberries, they now offer a flower picking project with the same price as strawberries. You get a small basket and can pick until you're satisfied. There's also a farm and agricultural products market to visit. πŸ“Tip: It's recommended to go early because the last tractor ride for strawberry picking seems to be around 3 pm (although the strawberry picking area isn't very far to walk, it's not close either). We left home a little after ten and arrived at the farm around noon, playing for about two hours. #Pittsburgh #Strawberries #PittsburghFood #Scenery #Outdoors #PittsburghDayTrips #WhatToDoInPittsburgh
