Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls | 3-Day Ultimate Guide 🛶
Catching the last moments of late summer, we drove north from Pittsburgh all the way to Niagara Falls. Mist, evening breeze, night views, and fireworks—this trip was all about romance. Day1️⃣ Pittsburgh - Niagara Falls Four Mile Creek Campground 🚗 Depart at noon, drive about 4 hours to the falls. You can also park at Goat Island and walk to all the waterfall overlooks to get a first feel of the falls' grandeur. ⛺️ Head back to the campground in the evening. It's clean and tidy, with restrooms, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry. The campground also offers free Niagara Park parking passes! 💡 Day2️⃣ Niagara Falls - Oakville Shopping - Canadian Falls Night View 🚢 During the day, take the classic Maid of the Mist boat tour. The line is shorter on the U.S. side. 🛍️ Drive to the outlets for some retail therapy in the afternoon. Dinner can be enjoyed in the Canadian section. 🎆 In the evening, watch the illuminated falls and fireworks show. The colored lights reflecting off the mist create a magical atmosphere. Day3️⃣ Niagara Falls - Erie - Pittsburgh 💦 Make a stop in Erie on the way back. Stroll by the lake and enjoy the breeze, then upgrade yesterday's leftovers. 🚗 Drive back to Pittsburgh in the afternoon, wrapping up this late-summer getaway. ✨ Summary & Tips 🚗 The drive from Pittsburgh to the falls takes about 4 hours one way. It's best to have two drivers to take turns. 🅿️ Arrive early for state park parking. If it's full, you can park at Goat Island. 🛶 The Maid of the Mist boat tour is a must-do.
