Pokhara’s Daddy's Kitchen|So Good, I Wanted to Pack Naan for Breakfast

Stumbling upon this spot near Trade Mall’s downtown area, I was shocked by its “grandness”—it has multiple floors, with a touch of sophistication, rare for Pokhara’s eateries. I planned to just grab a quick bite, but one bite of naan with curry, and I immediately ordered seconds, even daydreaming about packing some for breakfast. 🫓 Garlic Naan + Mutton Curry: A Match Made in Food Heaven First, rave about the garlic naan! 100 NPR for three big pieces, freshly baked with a charred aroma, crispy on the edges and soft inside. Garlic and - kissed wheat scents mix—so good, you could eat it plain. But the real “killer” is dipping it in mutton curry. The mutton chunks are huge, tender enough to fall apart with a fork, their meaty flavor blending with rich, spiced curry, thick enough to coat the naan. Tear off a piece, soak it in curry, and the naan, now juicy with a hint of heat, explodes with garlic and meaty goodness in your mouth. After the first serving, I didn’t hesitate: “Another naan, please!” 🍖 Pleasant Surprises from Blind Orders: Chicken sausage: Slightly tangy, not overpowering, but surprisingly refreshing—paired with naan, it’s a quirky, tasty combo. Daddy Special: I ordered it mild, with the spicy sauce on the side. It’s a sweetish stew on its own, with tender veggies and meat; add sauce to taste, and you craft your perfect flavor—super flexible. ✨ Only Tiny Flaw? B&W Menu Hides the Deliciousness For such a big restaurant, the menu is black-and-white—lacks that “fancy” vibe. But the taste makes up for it: everything I ordered hit, no misses, and the value is unbeatable (100 NPR for garlic naan? Impossible to find better in Pokhara). Left with two packed garlic naan, planning to toast them tomorrow with milk tea for breakfast. Walking out, still craving that mutton curry, I only had one thought: next time, come with an empty stomach to try every naan on the menu! 📍Location: Near Trade Mall downtown (look for the multi-story, stylish building—you can’t miss it) Recommendation rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (Garlic naan and mutton curry are a must-try pair!) #Pokhara #PokharaFood #Nepal #GarlicNaan #MuttonCurry #PokharaGuide
