Popular and always with a long line, Raku's Udon is a must-tryππ€©
πRaku 48 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012 Just an 8-minute walk from NYU Kimmel, this place starts to have a line as soon as it opens at 12:00 noon. We waited for 10 minutes to get a seat. The average cost per person is $40. Kani Ankake π¦π Crab and Egg Drop Udon. Many posts recommend this dish, but I think it's just okay. The soup base has a lot of starch, making it thick and somewhat bland. There's not much crab, but there are some seaweed and vegetables. Niku Nikomoto ππ Beef Short Rib and Tripe Udon. This one is delicious! Highly recommended. The beef and short ribs are very tender and flavorful, and the beef broth is amazing! Nabe Yaki π Iron Pot Udon. It comes with chicken, eel, mushrooms, and fish cake. The fish cake is fantastic! The soup base is also very tasty. It also includes a small plate with two tempura shrimp. Highly recommended! Green Tea Tiramisu π΅π° Matcha Tiramisu. It's delicious! The bottom layer is matcha ice cream, and the top layer of matcha powder adds a slightly bitter taste that balances the sweetness of the cream. A frozen grape is served as a post-meal treat. π #NewYorkUdon #NYUDiningAround π
