Praying for love at Tokyo Grand Shrine ๐ธ
Entering the shrine, the sound of wind chimes is just endless ๐ธ๐. Most people come here to pray for love and relationships. I put my "destined love" coin into the box and made a wish. ๐ข๐ To my surprise, I suddenly saw a poem by Li Bai: "Heaven has endowed me with talents for some use." It seems that this is the "life phrase" of Japanese shrines for this month ๐ (I saw it in other shrines later too). When I was about to buy an amulet, I saw many people with their shuincho (red seal books). ๐ข๐ So, I asked a Japanese auntie how to get one and how to collect the seals. She showed me her beautiful shuincho... Basically, you spend 1500 yen to buy the book, and it's an extra 500 yen each time you get a seal. ๐ข๐ Later, I got seals at every shrine and temple I visited. There are also limited-edition ones that span two pages, which are usually more expensive. ๐ #TokyoGrandShrine #ShrineLife #TokyoTrip
