Princeton One-Day Itinerary ✅ Campus Tour, Peach Picking

If you’re talking about towns near New York that are perfect for a weekend getaway, Princeton absolutely needs a mention! Before, because my boyfriend studied there, I almo…h it, I’m also working as a makeshift tour guide and have researched a one-day travel itinerary ✅ From Manhattan, it’s just over an hour by car or NJ Transit. Besides exploring the campus filled with academic atmosphere, the town itself is quiet, peaceful, and charming, with many hidden gem shops and restaurants. And summer is the best season. Picking fruit, boating, and the sculpture park are all especially fun~ 🏫 Campus Tour! First, you have to tour the school~ There are both ancient buildings covered in ivy and modern sculptures full of design sense. For someone like me who went to school in buildings all over Manhattan, a campus filled with such a scholarly atmosphere is still quite enchanting. 🍨 Main Street Outside Campus Every small shop is super cute! My usual routine is: go to the French pastry shop Chez Alice to check out the new cakes, go to Bread Boutique to debate whether or not to buy a croissant, drink hot chocolate at Small World when it’s cold, and then head to Maruichi Japanese Supermarket to look at rice balls and sushi. This time I tried Bent Spoon ice cream, which has different flavors every day (it’s said that during the Princeton cicada disaster, they even had cicada-flavored ice cream😅). The summer-only corn ice cream has a milky flavor with a hint of saltiness and corn kernels. I personally think it’s tastier than the signature flavor at L’Escargot. 🍕 For lunch, I recommend Nomad Pizza, which I think is just as good as the famous ones in New York. The open kitchen allows you to watch the chefs bake pizzas while you eat. The classics are fig guanciale and mushroom. They have special editions for each season. This time I tried spicy peach, with fresh yellow peaches and spicy honey, and grilled Mexican chili, which was strangely addictive! 🍑 After lunch, you can drive about ten minutes to Terhune Orchard farm. There are different fruits to pick throughout the year, from strawberries to cherries. Now it’s blackberries, blueberries, and peaches. In the fall, there will be apples and pumpkins. You can also see animals, cut flower bouquets, enjoy live music and wine tasting on weekends, and take home fresh produce from the farm. Every time I go, I feel that country life is wonderful hh ⛲️ When the afternoon light softens, why not take a walk at Grounds for Sculpture. It seems to have been made popular by a video of the blogger “Sun Sihang, the actor” touring the park with his mother, and it feels like even people back home in China know about it😂 This sculpture park, full of both artistic atmosphere and a sense of humor, not only allows you to see sculptures interpreting works by artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Munch, but it’s also highly interactive, allowing visitors to become part of the art! 🍜 For dinner, if you have a car, you can drive to Edison, where you can find authentic Chinese food of various cuisines. If you want to stay in Princeton, the French restaurant Kristine’s on Main Street, and Jin Li, a Chinese restaurant, are both good. You can refer to my previous restaurant collection~ #Princeton #NewYorkArea #UnitedStates #NorthAmericanLife
