Queens | The Most Low-Key Yet Amazing Seafood Spot in Astoria

Sabry’s Seafood is the hidden gem on my seafood pocket list, and finishing up at Al-Sham next door is the perfect way to end the meal. It’s the kind of combination that gets better with every bite! 🌟 Sabry’s has always been on my go-to list, and every visit still manages to amaze me. There’s no fancy decor or gimmicks—just fresh seafood, generous portions, and bold yet balanced flavors. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. Every dish I ordered this time was spot-on: 🦑 Seafood Tajine The moment it hit the table, the aroma took over. The tomato base with Middle Eastern spices had the squid, shrimp, and fish perfectly infused with flavor. The Arabic bread was irresistible for dipping! 🥪✨ 🐙 Grilled Octopus The outer layer was slightly charred, and each bite was incredibly tender. The spices were just right—something you don’t often find in New York. 🦑🔥 🐟 Whole Grilled Fish Picking the fish from the freezer felt like a ritual. The freshly grilled fish was served in generous portions, with crispy skin and tender meat. A squeeze of lemon brightened the whole dish! 🥗 Salad + Arabic Bread The bread was so fluffy and adorable, perfect for tearing and dipping in the Tajine sauce. The salad was just right for cutting through the richness. 🥗🥪 The whole experience was simple, delicious, and not at all pretentious. The prices were much friendlier than those in Manhattan, which is why it’s always on my pocket list. After dining at Sabry’s, be sure to head next door to Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries for the perfect finish. 🧀 Kunefeh A must-try! Enjoy it hot, with the cheese crispy on the outside and stringy on the inside. The sweetness is just right and incredibly comforting. 🍔🍰 monds. The layers are flaky and fragrant, never overly sweet. 🥧 If you’re unsure what to order, just ask the owner. Though he might look a bit stern, he’s actually very kind and willing to recommend. Fill up on Sabry’s seafood, then end the meal with Al-Sham’s sweets for the perfect Astoria experience. 📍 Sabry’s Seafood Astoria Little Egypt 24-25 Steinway St, Astoria, NY 11103, United States 📍 Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries 24-39 Steinway St, Astoria, NY 11103, United States #NewYorkFoodie #AstoriaDelights 🌟
