Rainy Day at Musée Bourdelle | Paris Off-the-Beaten-Path 🌧️🎨
Musée Bourdelle is one of my favorite museums in Paris, showcasing the workshop, garden, and residence of the famous sculptor Antoine Bourdelle, a student of Rodin, along with many of his works. This place is Bourdelle's former home and workshop. Although it's a museum, it bears many traces of real life. My favorite parts are his sculpture workshop and garden. The garden is long and narrow, with sculptures standing tall among the lush trees and flowers, which seems to add more vitality and a more striking experience. His workshop is right next to the garden, and the marks of time scattered around the studio, along with the view of the garden sculptures through the window, make for the most striking scene that left me in awe. 🏡 The art museum is not large, but it has many small spaces exhibiting different works. Finally, going to the second-floor restaurant for a light meal and a cup of coffee is also a pleasant experience. Next to the restaurant is Bourdelle's former study and residence, which are locked but can be peeked through the windows. I will definitely come again next time, and I hope it's on a sunny day so I can sit in the garden and enjoy the play of light and shadow while daydreaming. ☀️🌿 #TravelBits#CulturalLandscapeSharing#DailyArtSharing#Paris#ParisOfftheBeatenPath#ParisArt
