Raku's Udon Really Hit the Spot | New York | Soft and Chewy 🍲🌟

This time, I'm here to vouch for Raku—it's truly an amazing Japanese udon place! 🌟 Compared to waiting in long lines on weekends, I much prefer visiting after work for a cozy dinner. You can just walk in around five! 🕒 Eating udon on a rainy day is just too comforting, isn't it? 🌧️ After checking out some online reviews, I ordered these two dishes: 🍜 Snow Crab Egg Udon The soup base is indeed quite thick, like it has too much starch, but the way the udon wraps around the sauce and melts in your mouth is just heavenly! 🍜 Because I love soft and chewy textures, I added some mochi. The super soft and sticky rice cakes just melt in your mouth—so satisfying! The udon itself was also amazing, completely different from the ones you get online. These noodles are wider and have a great chewiness—they must be handmade! The shop really put effort into it, and there's plenty of crab meat inside. I was very satisfied, although the soup was a bit salty. 🍱 Oyako Don (Chicken and Egg Bowl) This dish looks so good—it's like something straight out of a Japanese drama! The portion is huge. The chicken wrapped in egg is perfect with the rice. Ah, the joy of carbs! 🍙 I also added some big shrimp tempura, which was delicious—I love tempura! 🍤 In short, this place is the perfect late-night eatery/after-work spot to soothe your soul. I'll definitely be back! 🌟 💰 $30-$50 There are four stores on the island, and I went to the one in Soho: 342 E 6th St, New York, NY 10003 #NewYork #NewYorkExploration 🌆🌟
