Random Food Adventure Near Columbia University š
I initially planned to have brunch (many people recommended it, and I had tried it once before ā the pancakes were really good!) but my friend and I woke up too late and were too ADHD to make it to the restaurant in time. We ended up being told we could only get a table for dinner at 4 pm. Surprisingly, it turned out to be really nice! š½ļø š Community Food & Juice 2893 Broadway, New York, NY 10025 Overall rating: āļøāļøāļøāļø (4/5) It's perfect for those living nearby or stopping by after class, but not worth making a special trip from elsewhere. The food was pretty good, with an average cost of $30 per person. š¤ Shrimp Stir Fry: Stir-fried shrimp with broccoli, green beans, and bell peppers. The flavors were really good and had a bit of a Chinese cuisine vibe. It was essentially a vegetable and shrimp stir-fry over rice, with soft brown rice underneath. The rice was nice at first but got a bit greasy after soaking for a while. š¤ š„© Braised Short Ribs: The short ribs were braised in red wine and were so tender they fell off the bone. They came with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and the combination was really delicious. š I was a bit disappointed to miss out on the pancakes, but I did discover a new favorite spot near campus. Pancakes, see you next time! #InternationalStudentEats #ColumbiaUniversity #FoodNearColumbia š
